Answer: Introduction: While conducting the field research i.e. taking interview of an employee working in Coles, I have gained a vivid knowledge regarding the role of a human resource executive of the particular company in the particular branch. In the interview, the employee has said that he is working as a human resource executive in Coles and is handling recruitment department of his company in Melbourne. I have found the fact that there are vast differences between the knowledge gained by the students when they involve in the course of human resource management and the people who are in this field of operations. However, I have learned that theoretical knowledge is necessary, but rather than that the knowledge about the market and communication with the people are far more important than gaining only theoretical knowledge on human resource management. The HR executive of Coles has pointed out the fact that the culture of the workplace matters a lot in shaping the career of a particular individual work ing in it. The company culture and the regulations of Coles are good enough to develop the career opportunities within the company. I have learned that while becoming an employee of a particular company, it is mandatory to maintain a relation between the organization culture and the theoretical knowledge that I will be gaining after completing my graduation course. This balance of knowledge will help me in maintaining a perfect work life balance. The employee has said that he has to develop his skills regarding gathering knowledge on the latest modules of training and development. After conducting the field research, I have learned many things that will help to develop my career in the corporate field. As a professional in the human resource management, I have to develop many skills beyond my course that will help me in gaining a reputed position in a multinational organization. As a graduate student, I have an aspiration of developing my career in the HR executive designation in a reputed company. For achieving this goal I have to enhance my skills in the aspect of leadership, grooming, communication skills both verbal and non-verbal, knowledge of the market trends, current patterns of frameworks used by HR managers in other reputed companies like Coles, Eagle Boys, BHP Billiton, etc. in Australia. Apart from that, I have learned that the mix of country culture as well as organization culture is the success of the HR professional in order to recruit people who are suitable for the organization. Apart from having the Bachelors degree I will integrate myself in professional courses that will not only enhance my skills and expertise level but will add a positive impression in my resume (de Guzman Choi, 2013). I have to gather knowledge regarding the recruitment and selection patterns that are adopted by the industrial experts in order to recruit people for their companies. According to the market trends, I will enrol myself in the certified courses that will help me in securing a good position as a human resource executive in a reputed company (Benson, Morgan Filippaios, 2014). Report on enhancing employability and the labour market The report will focus on the skills and attributes that a student of Human Resource management will have to gather to secure a good position in a reputed company. The topic selected for the report is enhancing employability and labour market in Australia. A thorough knowledge on the labour market in Australia will help the graduates in order to increase the level of knowledge as well as the market trends of recruitment and selection of the candidates (Jones, 2013). It is the responsibility of a management graduate to increase his employability in every aspects of their career. The competitive market chooses the one who is extraordinary. Extraordinary does not always means extraordinary in grades of education. It means the person who has gained ample knowledge in leadership skills, grooming skills, latest knowledge about the trends of HRM in the global market, eligibility of recognising the characteristics of people (Jackson, 2013). Employability skills are defined as the attributes, knowledge and skills which are essential in gaining employment while gaining an adaptability, learning and progressing successfully in that particular field of employment. The employment skills will not only provide benefit to the individual but also it will provide benefit to the economy and the employer (Smith, Duncan Cook, 2013). The employability skills that I have to incorporate like problem solving, decision making, self management, literacy and communication , team working, leadership skills, time management, stress management, adaptability, attitude, etc. The above-mentioned employability skills are categorised under four groups such as self-reliance, general employment skills, specialist skills and people skills (Rao, 2014). It is seen that the rate of employment in Australia is increasing by 225,000 i.e. 1.9% in this year. Hence, it can be said that the economy of the country is developed and the multinational companies as well as domestic companies are recruiting candidates from the countries. However, youth employment remained stuck for a certain period (El Mansour Dean, 2016). It can be also said that companies prefer the candidates who have experience or have extraordinary skills and expertise to the fresher graduate candidates. The workplace cultures of the firms of Australia are focused in developing the career of the employees as well as the improvement in the organizational performance while developing employee relations (Jaaffar et al., 2016). Conclusion It can be concluded that nowadays the professional courses that are offered by the reputed universities in Australia are not enough to get a good designation in the corporate field. The market is competitive and there are number of graduates who are passing every year and are competing with one another for getting a good position in the multinational organizations.
